uchwałą Rady Wydziału Elektrycznego Politechniki Wrocławskiej uzyskał, dnia 19 maja 2008 roku, stopień doktora habilitowanego nauk technicznych, na podstawie rozprawy habilitacyjnej Bezstykowe pomiary konduktywności materiałów przewodzących za pomocą przetworników indukcyjnościowych.

By the resolution of the Council of the Faculty of Electronics, Wrocław University of Technology, obtained the higher doctor's degree (DSc) in technical sciences on June 11th, 2008, on the basis of the DSc dissertation Indirect measurements using techniques of mathematical modeling to investigate the respiratory system.

Jerzy Augustyn, Ph.D., D.Sc.

By the resolution of the Council of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Silesian University of Technology, on 8th July 2008, he obtained higher doctor's degree of technical science, on the basis of the DSc dissertation Algorithmic methods of impedance measurement.

This year professor Eugeniusz Ratajczyk celebrates the 50^th anniversary of his work at Warsaw University of Technology and his 75^th birthday. On this occasion an Anniversary Seminar was organized at the Faculty of Mechatronics, 20^th June 2008. Eminent university authorities, members of Faculty Council and many notable guests from academic and research centres participated in the Seminar. The speakers from the Faculty and invited guests from other establishments referred to professor Ratajczyk's outstanding achievements in science, teaching and administration. His Magnificence, Rector of Warsaw University of Technology, professor Włodzimierz Kurnik, awarded professor Ratajczyk with the Badge for Merits in the Development of Warsaw University of Technology.
